The Brethren of Lodge of Friendship No. 750 are delighted and immensely proud to announce that the Lodge has achieved Diamond Patronage of the 2028 MCF Festival, marking a significant milestone in our charitable fundraising.

The MCF Festival 2028 was launched by the Province of Yorkshire, West Riding on 2 May 2023 and will run for five years, culminating in 2028. Festivals such as this provide a vital source of funding for the Masonic Charitable Foundation and generate the majority of donations made to the MCF.

A fantastic achievement

Reaching Diamond Patronage is something of which every member of the Lodge can be extremely proud. It represents the collective generosity, commitment and enthusiasm of our Brethren, visitors, friends and supporters who have contributed to our fundraising efforts.

Whether through donations, Lodge events, sponsorship or simply supporting the activities organised in aid of the Festival, every contribution has helped us reach this important milestone.

It is a wonderful demonstration of one of the principles at the very heart of Freemasonry: Charity.

Why the Festival matters

The Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF) is one of the country's largest grant-making charities. Its work is focused on encouraging opportunity, promoting independence and improving wellbeing.

Its impact extends well beyond Freemasonry. Alongside helping Freemasons and their families when they are facing difficult circumstances, the MCF provides millions of pounds each year to local and national charities. Its support helps vulnerable people, advances medical research and creates opportunities for young people. It also supports vital services including hospices and air ambulances, as well as responding to major disasters around the world.

Through the generosity of Freemasons and their families, this support improves the lives of thousands of people every year in England, Wales and further afield.

Diamond achieved, but the journey continues

Achieving Diamond Patronage is a fantastic moment for the Lodge of Friendship No. 750, but the Festival itself continues until 2028.

We therefore hope to continue supporting the Festival wherever we can and to play our part in the wider fundraising efforts of Freemasonry across Yorkshire, West Riding.

Most importantly, we would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has contributed to this achievement.

Every donation, every fundraising event and every act of support has played its part.

Congratulations to the Brethren of the Lodge of Friendship No. 750 on achieving Diamond Patronage, and thank you to everybody who helped us get there.

A fantastic achievement for the Lodge, and an even better achievement for Charity.

More information about the Festival and the work it supports can be found on the West Riding Freemasons' 2028 Festival page.
